Navigation Systems

Most of our vehicles are not equipped with built-in navigation systems. However, you can reserve a GPS Navigation unit at participating locations for a reasonable daily rate. Simply select this option during of your online reservation process.

Child Safety Seats

Child safety seats are available for rent at most all our locations for an additional fee. You can easily add a child seat to your rental reservation online.

Ski Racks and Snow Tires

Movis Car Rental offers ski racks and snow tires for selected vehicles at certain locations. Be sure to call ahead to confirm availability after booking online, or contact us at customercare@moviscarrental.com for assistance.

Spare Tire

In the event that a vehicle requires a spare tire due to damage, the renter will be responsible for any charges related to replacing or repairing the tire, even if the customer purchase an insurance

Please ensure that you inspect the vehicle before departure and report any concerns to avoid unexpected charges. Thank you for your understanding.

Lost keys?

contact our customer care department on the dedicated number for each country, we are going to send you an exchange car, and sign with the rented a damage report after making the paymentfor it normally a car key loss cost case vary between 400 -1400 EUR (depending on the car group).

Claims & Accident

In case of damage or accident while driving a United vehicle

1. **Immediate Actions:**  
   - Contact the police or emergency services by the country you are driving in
   - Complete a Movis Car Rental Accident/Incident Report to document the details of the accident or damage.  

2. **Roadside Assistance:**  
   - Call Movis Car Rental Roadside Assistance at the dedicated number for each country for support.  

3. **Insurance Claims:**  
   - Notify your personal auto insurance company and establish a claim for the damages.  
   - If renting with a major credit card, contact their customer service to determine if their collision coverage applies.  
   - You do not need to wait for Movis Car Rental’s claim documents to report the incident to your insurance or credit card company.  

4. **Liability and Coverage:**  
   - The renter is responsible for any and all loss or damage to the car from causes such as collision, theft, tire damage, vandalism, medical conditions, natural disasters, etc.  
   - If you have accepted Movis Car Rental's SCDW reduce excess product, you will still be held responsible for damages, but with less amount than the full excess.

5. **Third-Party Responsibility:**  
   - If the other party's contact information is available, Movis Car Rental will pursue them or their insurance company for damages if they are found at fault. However, this does not absolve the renter of contractual obligations.  

6. **Additional Charges:**  
   - **Loss of Use:** You are contractually liable for compensation while the vehicle is unavailable for rental.  
   - **Administrative Fee:** Costs related to processing claims will be charged to responsible parties.  
   - **Vehicle Restoration:** Movis Car Rental is entitled to restore vehicles to pre-accident conditions, and associated costs will be included.  

7. **Corporate Rentals:**  
   - Corporate renters must complete the accident report in full and inform their employer about the incident.  
   - Check with your employer regarding claim procedures through personal insurance, corporate credit card insurance, or company insurance coverage.  
   - The renter will be billed and held responsible for damages.  

What is the typical timeline for processing a damage claim?

When a Movis Car Rental vehicle is involved in an accident, you can generally contact the office within 3 to 7 days from the date of the incident.

The timeline may vary depending on the extent and severity of the damage sustained by the vehicle. To ensure we provide you with the most accurate and transparent service, Movis Car Rental must first:

Complete the vehicle repairs, or at lest the invoice of the reparation had been issued (3-7 days)
Finalize the salvage process if the vehicle is deemed a total loss.
Only after these steps are completed can we provide a detailed breakdown of the costs associated with the damage.

How Can I pay my claim?

upon the return of the car/ or at getting the car exchange, the rented has to pay for the estimated damage up to the amount of the excess, the return agent will send the photos of the damage to our damage/accident department which will estimate the amount to be paid at counter, please not that this amount is not final and it subject to be updated during the repare process.
